Hymen repair, hymen reconstruction, hymen surgery, hymenoplasty or revirgination all refer to cosmetic surgery that restores your hymen. The hymen is a fold of membrane, highly variable in shape and appearance, implying by its presence that a women is still a virgin. Yet, the hymen can sometimes be completely absent in virgins and it can also be ruptured by strenuous physical activity or tampon use.

Hymenoplasty is the process of surgically gathering the remnants of the hymen and tightening the hymeneal ridge. The amount of tightening largely depends on the amount of tissue available in the vagina. This surgery has the ability to recreate a virgin-like appearance and experience.

Simple and Safe.

There are two types of hymenoplasty, each of which is an outpatient procedure:

Simple Hymenoplasty

In a simple hymenoplasty, a surgeon pieces together the hymen remnant by closing the tear. The hymen tissue is pulled together so that the vagina will once again be covered by it. It's a simple procedure and can be completely healed in three to seven days, with a low risk of fever and infection.

Alloplant

In some cases, a hymen cannot be restored. You might then opt for an Alloplant, which involves inserting a tear-through biomaterial that acts as the hymen. Done under local anesthetic and as outpatient surgery, it takes less than two hour and you can return to work the next day. The implanted hymen is virtually indistinguishable from the natural one.
